Bel Air Fashion to Table Wedding Editorial with TwoFold and Late Afternoon, California Fine Art Wedding Photography

This stunning bridal editorial was a collaboration with the incredibly talented Twofold LA focusing on the beautiful vibrancy of California's citrus season with an emphasis on citrus tones paired with lush greens and pops of white.  The classic Mediterranean architecture of this stunning Bel Air residence fused with more whimsical floral elements to cultivate a dream like quality.  We were inspired by our stunning Model Liz, of Late Afternoon, who has that cool California look to her, fresh-faced, a touch of bohemian style, paired with a sense of effortlessness.  See more from this editorial in print in Flutter Magazine on newsstands now and today on Style Me Pretty.

From TwoFold's Olivia Korenberg-
Twofold LA's initial inspiration for this shoot was derived from the beautiful vibrancy of California's citrus season. With an emphasis on citrus tones paired with lush greens and pops of white, the classic Mediterranean architecture of this stunning Bel Air residence was fused with more whimsical elements to cultivate a dream like quality. Breathtaking floral moments such as a garden of hanging wisteria by Celadon Celery, romantic floral arrangements by Emblem Flowers and an oversized floral headdress by Wild Vase helped each scene blend seamlessly into the already lush surrounding landscape. Beautiful fresh faced Los Angeles based blogger Liz Cherkasova of Late Afternoon looked both elegant and effortless in dresses from Monique Lhuillier paired beautifully with breathtaking gems by local jewelry designer Deanna Hamro. With an incredible team of creative vendors the shoot came together to strike a balance between that undefinable sense of California cool and elegant opulence.

A Behind the Scenes Look into Silk and Willow's Studio for Cottage Hill Magazine

I had the honor of shooting the lovely Shellie of Silk and Willow earlier this Spring for the exquisite new magazine Cottage Hill.  The magazine is a fresh take on the wedding and lifestyle content taking over the blogosphere and focuses on authentic stories with beautiful imagery.  Shellie is an amazing #girlboss who asked herself "If I could do anything what would it be?" From that question she started her company Silk and Willow, which creates gorgeous plant-dyed silks that she makes all herself in her studio in the Hudson Valley.  Just over a year in business and she has been published just about everywhere you can imagine including being a finalist in the prestigious American Made Awards from Martha Stewart.  I had the pleasure of working with her on an editorial with her last year and was so excited to return to her home to shoot these behind the scenes photos!  Her studio is exactly what you would expect from such a lovely company- prepare to get lost in the beautiful world of Silk and Willow and don't forget to pick up a copy of Cottage Hill to read the article on newsstands now!
