Elizabeth and Ricardo's Romantic Brooklyn Wedding

Elizabeth and Ricardo were married on a beautiful Fall day in Brooklyn, NY.  The bride and groom met and fell in love during a dancing class and bonded over their shared love dance.  They were engaged on a cold winter evening in snowy Central Park surrounded by candles in mason jars while a swing band played music.  The utter romance of their proposal was echoed in the romantic touches on the wedding day in Brooklyn.   The bride started her day at a lovely B&B in Brooklyn, that felt straight out of the English countryside with its light pink walls and antique furniture.  The couple were married at the beautiful Gothic Church, St Agnes, in Brooklyn, decorated with pink roses and  cascading moss with satin pink ribbons that echoed the brides lush and wildly romantic bouquet.  The flower girls were each given flower crowns and a stuffed animal to carry instead of flowers to sprinkle- an adorable photo op!  After the ceremony the bride and groom were showered with pink petals as they made their way into a vintage Rolls Royce to head over to their reception.  The reception was held at the Montauk Club, nestled into the townhouse lined streets of Brooklyn near Prospect Park.  The club is utterly romantic, built in the 1880's and inspired by a palace on Venice's Grand Canal.  It is magical inside, feeling untouched by time as you are surrounded by dark mahogany wood and beautiful stained glass windows.  The bride brought in a lot of DIY elements to the day- sewing the ring pillows for the ceremony herself and in lieu of a sign in book set up an advice table for friends and family to write pieces of advice down on fabric, which she will use to sew into a quilt after the wedding.   She also created a display board for prints from her engagement session- a beautiful and creative way to incorporate the photos in the day instead of in a traditional sign in book.  The guests found their seats in a vintage key escort card display and then dined in the ballroom sitting at long banquet tables with a lush green runner dotted with pink roses.  The bride and groom honored both of their heritages by incorporating both Italian and Mexican touches throughout the day.  The head table had a sign that read "Just Married"  and the chairs had bride and groom signs on the backs written in Italian.  The bride and groom wowed their guests with an amazing choreographed first dance, and then surprised them at the end of the evening with a Mariachi band, which got everyone on the dance floor! Guests took home scented candles that the bride made herself and celebrated the bride and groom with sparklers as they exited the venue at the end of the night.
